Weaving Demonstration With Hannah Cooper

  • 8 Saywell St Marrickville, NSW, 2204 Australia (map)

Hannah is currently experimenting with colour interactions of naturally dyed silk in double weave structures. This allows her to combine colours in the warp and weft to create unusual, complex colour plays in the final weave.

On Friday 24 June, Hannah will be in the gallery for a series of informal sessions demonstrating the winding of warp chains for her upcoming pieces. She will be bringing all the silk she has naturally dyed over the past 12 months and will happily chat about her process of dyeing and weaving.

Please book your ticket now and don't miss this opportunity to join Southern Highlands based Hannah Cooper from Sunday Woven for this free talk and demonstration at Saywell Gallery, Marrickville.

It's part of our series of 'Demonstrations & Conversations' during our current Woven By Nature exhibition.

[Please note the gallery is located up 2 flights of stairs. Sydenham Station is a 5 minute walk. Street parking may be limited however Marrickville Metro shopping centre is only a 8 minute walk.]
